Yet Another Disgusting Realization

When you think you’ve heard it all, it seems life loves to slap another tidbit in your face.

I’m not going to post a video because I couldn’t watch it all the way through. All I had to see was this fucking wealthy man hold up a shark hook with a trembling kitten on it and things were over for me. I wanted a chance to skew that guy with a hook and throw him to the sharks to see how he fucking likes being ripped in half. FUCKER.  I’m disgusted and feel like vomiting. I hate fishing in general, even without worms or minnows, but this is taking it too far. There is no way in hell that someone needs to fish for sharks with a fucking live animal. It’s all sport and money. Motherfuckers, I want to skin those people alive right now. Examples like these are why I hate all the fucking ignorants in my life. Disgusting. It feels like the only person in my life that feels this pain and disgust is Skhizein whereas everyone else around me is clinging to their precious meaty ideals.

“I like meat.” I hear it all the time. Well fuck you. I liked it when I was ignorant too, but not anymore. There are way too many reasons to stop eating meat and using sick and cruel products. A lot of our fur and shit comes from animals (like dogs and cats) skinned alive in china and “mis-labeled” as rabbit or other furs. Even the rabbits are probably skinned fucking alive but no one cares about those because they aren’t usually thought of as pets. Ugh, and it doesn’t help when all the proclaimed carnivores(AKA Meat Eaters) turn out to be so full of shit and fallacies that I want to shoot myself.  Below are some of the hideous comments I’ve had the pleasure to run across recently:

“In EVERY case – people who’ve lived 100 years or more – are ALWAYS life time meat eaters. Vegi’s die young…”

Holy cow, that was smart of you to say. They may have eaten meat all their lives, but they sure as hell ate healthier amounts than the average American. Not to mention that they may have had genes on their side as well. It’s also a commonly accepted fact that Vegetarians live longer lives on average either way.

“Swallow a hand full of corn – Don’t chew. Do the same thing with a small meat muscle – Like a chicken nugget – don’t choke…

Check your turds – You’ll see the corn passed through completely uselessly – But not the meat!

Different kinds of cell walls, different kinds of germ containers – Cellulose… Herbivorse don’t have that problem. For us carnivorse, we have to thoroughly masticate our plants for them to do us any good. Meat is, for us, very easily digested.

So the answer is logically – Yes – We are made to eat meat.”

Fact is that the corn did not pass through uselessly. Most of the “kernels of corn” we see in our stool is actually just the outer membrane of the kernel, whereas the starchy inside has been fully utilized. We don’t have the enzymes necessary to digest cellulose, which is what the outside of the kernel is made of. Once we puncture the kernel with our molars, we have access to the inside of the kernel. For sure there are some whole kernels that we may pass, due to poor chewing, but it’s ludicrous to think that all the kernels are whole. We don’t have to completely masticate the plants to eat them. Due to our digestive system, apart from not being able to break apart cellulose, we are much more able to properly digest fruits and vegetables than meat. Thus, we are not MADE to eat meat or plants. We are made to eat both, as an omnivore, but like many omnivores we ate meat when it was easier then eating plants (say, in an ice age). Since we have a choice, I think it’s only logical to eat a plant based diet because of the ethical reasons (cruelty to animals, the cost to other people and our environment when we raise meat, etc.). However, it is important to note briefly that meat isn’t completely easy to digest either. It takes better chewing, more acid secretion by the stomach’s parietal cells, and more active enzyme secretion by the pancreas for us to properly digest it. Fruits linger in the stomach for 10 to 30 minutes; meat takes much longer to break down (maybe up to 72 hours).  Plus, fat is notoriously hard to digest as well, which comes hand in hand with meat.

One more thing to note, the meat that is most easily digested for us is HUMAN meat because we are made of it. Therefore we can use and harvest all of the nutrients from it. If we used the ‘easily digestible’ logic, we might as well consider eating ourselves.

“If we weren’t supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat? Yummy!!!”

Wow, just wow. See the answer above. Aren’t WE as humans made of meat too??? Yummy!!!

“Love my meat.
I heard a bunch of hippie vegitariens saying forcing our kids to eat meat was abuse.
Well if thats true then my parents forcing me to eat brochilli is also abuse.
We need protein, end of story. So carve me up another cow.

Wow, again I am amazed at the ignorance. They were not saying it’s abuse to the child. It’s abuse to the animals that the meat came from (unless the child really hated meat, which isn’t likely because it’s made so palatable through the cooking process AKA frying pans with added fat.). You parents forcing you to eat broccoli was for your health, and unless they were hurting you mentally or physically, it wasn’t abuse (the happy demeanor makes me suspect that this person is fine). Finally, there is PLENTY of protein to be found in plants. It’s a horrible misconception that meat is the only or predominant protein source. Damn, these people need to learn how to spellcheck too.

“…the answer has to do with economics and sustainable living. From a hunting-gathering perspective, hunting has the bigger protein payoff. Many more hours of work are required to gather the same amount of protein from vegetation as you could get from a big game kill. But industrialized humans don’t need to worry about these kinds of scenarios so we can be pickier with our food. Anyone could get all the fruit, vegetables, and other non-meat foodstuffs they wanted to last them for life simply by walking to their nearest grocery store. Technological innovations have allowed us to get more harvest out of smaller land for much less. I’m not sure if we’ve reached the point yet where we could support EVERYONE on a vegetarian diet, but at least it’s a viable option for those individuals so inclined (although it is still cheaper to be an omnivore).”

I want to shoot myself again. It takes a ton of energy to produce cows, and it would be much easier to feed everyone on a vegetarian diet. Cows may have more “energy payoff” put it’s only a fraction of the protein that the cow used from the plants we fed it to make it grow.

“Humans have all the necessary traits needed to hunt prey. If we weren’t designed to hunt, kill and eat animals we wouldn’t need canines or incisors, we wouldn’t need heightened vision (compared to other animals) and we wouldn’t need such powerful legs to run and catch fast animals.

The only people who would say we weren’t built to eat meat are faggy vegetarians.”

We have pathetic traits to hunt prey. Our incisors can’t break through a tough hide, nor crush bone. We may be able to see color, but our night vision blows, which is when most prey is active and when we don’t even need color vision. We have long legs, yes, but we are very clumsy compared to other carnivores. I’d like to see a human run down a prey item without any tools. Humans are opportunistic. When we have luck with meat, we’ll eat it… otherwise it’s time spent gathering. True carnivores are much more efficiently built and I’m pretty sure if any of them had a chance to tell us how pathetic we are in comparison, they would rather laugh.

I suppose I wasted enough time throwing out some weak refutations to comparably weak arguments. Ugh, I hate the happily ignorant. At least I feel a little better; still sick to the stomach though…
