Summer Update

Well, I’m more than halfway through my summer; what a wonderful realization. No, not really. I did find out that I’m starting later this year (not sure why). Last year the university started it’s classes on my birthday, August 24th. This year, it’s just after labor day, September 8th. What’s even better is that classes end in mid-May like last year. I like it.

Anyways, I thought a summer to-do list update was in order (need to keep my priorities in check):

  • Practice Guitar. Just too much to do still…
  • Practice Japanese. I need to get on this!
  • Draw, write and work on Skhizein”s and my story. We’ve been kicking ass at this.
  • Learn programming (still  not sure which one… probably C++). Dammit, I want to, but I know it’s not realistic…
  • Get one hour of vigorous exercise every morning and night. Too lazy…
  • Play RPI MUD’s again. Been developing a character for the MUD ‘Shadows of Isildur‘; I hope they don’t disappoint. Waiting for Skhizein to join me on this.
  • Role-play more with Skhizein.
  • Start a short comic for practice. Don’t think I’ll get to this either.
  • Make a character I don’t mind throwing to slaughter so I can write the previously mentioned short comic about them. This should be easy…
  • Eat and acquire a taste for vegetables so I can be a healthy Vegan and not a junk food vegetarian. I tried to eat a baby carrot and it made me puke! WTF? It didn’t even taste bad, I just could not stomach it, ugh!
  • Go to the doctor… Ugh… haven’t had to suffer through that for years. Uh, forgot about this one…
  • Volunteer.
  • Work extra hours.
  • Get Suzu out to the Dog park once a week. Need to work on that.
  • Go to Valley Fair. Planned for my birthday, so I can get 11 bucks off.
  • Take more pictures and video. Working on it.
  • Get a haircut.

Well, it was nice to go through my previous list. I’d forgotten about some of those things. I also hadn’t added some things that were important to me back then, which I have added now.

I’ve begun Volunteering at Feline Rescue Inc. and it’s a great place. Most of the cats get free roam of large rooms, while the trouble makers get out when we can supervise them. They’re a no-kill shelter and uphold all of the other values I hold dear. I love it. Next time I’m going to take my camera and get pictures of my favorite kitties, heh.

Well, I’ll post again when I have some drawings or something to talk about.
