Coming to an End

Well, it’s becoming clear to me that summer vacation is coming to a quick and brutal end; time to pay tuition and buy textbooks and sort everything else out before classes start. Ugh… hopefully this semester will be funner for me though, since I’m taking classes that I should enjoy/are more suited to my interests:

  • Human Anatomy –> Very hard class
  • Plant, Algal & Fungal Diversity –> Apparently an easier class
  • Cell Biology —> This class is hard if you let the material build up, or so I’ve heard
  • And DRAWING —> Yay, just… yay!

I’m crossing my fingers and hoping I have good teachers and don’t loose interest in the material (everything goes to hell then). Hopefully the teacher I have for drawing will teach like my painting professor; he was very laid back, but excellent at teaching us the principles. It made the class so much more enjoyable then traditional classes.

Anyways, I’ve got to draw more before the end. I’ve been forcing myself to draw full bodies more often, but I get hell-uv-a sick of my lineart once I finish up and so I haven’t had a chance to scan and color anything yet. Bugger. I really need/want to practice that. I miss doing binge artwork, the kind I don’t think about but just do. I need to feel like that when I sketch, then maybe I’d get somewhere. Ugh, I think tomorrow I’ll scan one of my shitty pieces and try to work with it anyways. I might end up having fun?

On another note, I finally started reading manga again (besides reading the slow moving DOGS and occasionally checking up on Bleach). Thanks to a very persistent Skhizein, I grudgingly picked up “Katekyo Hitman Reborn!”, despite all of the resentment I had gathered from disgusting fandom over the past years. I mean, come on? Fucking babies on all the pages? How awful… I trudged through it and I guess it grew on me at some point, because I rather like it now. After volume 16, the manga really gets good too, and the art has improved a lot through the volumes. And there’s plenty of pretty boys to go around, despite the shonen genera. My personal favorites are Hibari and Mukuro at the moment, though Tsuna and his gang are all pretty good characters. I still hate most of the female cast (though I can tolerate a few), but when do I not? Females are almost always the most annoying creatures in the series, thanks to authors always portraying them a horrid cliches. Ugh.

Here’s some pictures of Hibari:

And here’s Mukuro:

And some colored pictures to finish my post, because the dog is begging for a walk quite insistently:
