Well, I have a hard time updating this thing. Now that I have a new phone with Android, I can use the nifty WordPress app to update. Will I update more now? Probably not, probably not…

So I cannot wait to get my new car. Now if only I could get a new job. It’d be so nice to just have one, fulltime, job instead of two partimers. Man, and getting better pay would be wonderful too. At least I have jobs though, I guess.

So something amazing happened… about a year ago my mom was diagnosed with stage three cancer. She was expected to live another 1-2 years. Well, she just got news from her doctors that her cancer is gone. From her scans, it seems like the chemo got rid of it… of course, I’m skeptical… because the chances of that galling were very slim. I can’t imagine it won’t come back yet again…

But at least she’ll have more time… I hope. She was so depressed, and nothing I could do made her feel any better. She was wasting away. This news has already changed her. I hope she continues to feel better.

The good, I had previously submitted a resume to my Store Manager when a position opened up for Supervisor and I found out they were hiring from the inside.  I just found out today that I got the job. Hopefully this means I can step up to an Assistant Manager’s position when one opens up. The only higher position than that at my workplace is a Store Manager… kehehe.

So, finally I’ll get better pay!

The bad news: today we’ve got an official blizzard warning here in MN.

Work closed early for the first time in years. If we hadn’t, I don’t think I would have made it out of the store and been able to get home. I was this close to not being able to drive out of the parking lot. Some of the snow drifts were over chest height! Winds kept pushing the snow and I around, so visibility was shot. Man, it’s just nuts all around. Right now it looks like I could swim in the snow on my deck.

It makes me wish I was a kid again. I’d be suited up and rolling around in it! When I was taking the dog out to the bathroom with Skhi, for kicks and giggles I encouraged him to jump into one of those chest high drifts. He’s a little twenty pound dog, so when he did it he nearly got stuck and romped his poor butt out of there. He seemed to enjoy the excitement though, haha!

Hm, it’s been a while again. I wonder if I’ll ever begin to post reliably.

I’ve been busy with work mostly… and yet, not busy enough. I need to get working with some Veterinarians, seriously. Otherwise I’ll never have an edge when trying to get into Vet School. I’m really dreading the application process…

I’ve finally finished a resume for a promotion I’m hoping to get. I need some management experience, so I’m going for it… however crappy it may be. Most of my coworkers are rooting for me, partly because I’m overqualified and partly because the other ass I’m up against is arrogant and lazy. However, he has more retail experience than I, so we’ll see. I’ve been told by more than one person that they’ll quit if he gets the job though, haha!

My mood is alright… it’s better than it was. I’m not really feeling depressed… just exhausted and hopeless. Sometimes it feels like things will never go my way. Though, money has been better lately. I’ve finally got some saved up and so long as nothing gets fucked up, I’m hoping to get a second car here for my Skhizein so he can drive himself to school. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

A little list of not so good things that have happened however:

• My Xbox 360 died… I plan to fix it on my own. Wish me luck.
• Both my laptops are going super slow despite virus and spyware scans… oh joy.
• The dog is having allergy issues…
• Winter came; self explanatory.
• Need to buy winter clothes because it is COLD.

I guess that’s it for now. I just wanted to do a quick update. I still mean to post pictures of the kittens… and maybe even a video or two if I get over being so tired. They’re the cutest things in the world though… seriously.
