1 Month Left!

Whoa, I can’t believe it… I only have one month left of school before I’m done with my Bachelors of Science! Finally… Man, I’ve been dragging my feet too… it’s time to get serious! Well, I’m updating this post during class, so that’s already not going well! But we’re talking about anatomy of the respiratory system, and I know all of that already. That means it okay, right? Hahah…

I need to find a second job for this summer. I’d love to work with a Vet, but that’ll never happen. /Sighs/ Most likely I’ll try to find a job in a Laboratory or something. I’ve got to start looking now I suppose. Oh, I have to do my taxes too, shit! I’d better stop by the Library today and pick the forms up… I’m so forgetful.

Wow… I just realized I can upload images on my WordPress anymore… Gotta check permissions and something about a GD library now, ugh… I can’t remember what I did; damn Php… I have been sketching, but I guess I can’t post it yet. /Too lazy to upload on Crapbucket/

Well, that was an exciting post. Nothing new basically and I have to go now.

FUNds

Man, do I ever enjoy being broke. I swear, it’s all I talk about and all I do. Maybe it’s the new cool thing?

“Hey, what’re you doing this weekend.” “Oh hey, I’m broke!” “Oh, that’s cool man!”

Yeah, maybe I’m a little too tired right now. Haha.

Well the important part of this post is to try and figure out how I’m going to save up money for AnimeDetour and YaoiCon as quickly as I can. Let’s take a look-see at my financial responsibilities coming up (not including gas and food, I have trouble tracking that):

  • March 15th 19th – $350 – Jacques’s much needed dental appointment. [($450)...]
  • March 16th 25th – $100 – Hair appointments for me and Skhizein… I really want this for spring. [($98)...]
  • April 14th – $500 – Final tuition payment.
  • April 23rd – ??? – Money for AnimeDetour.
  • SRtL* – $250 – My car needs fixing…
  • SRtL* – $100 – Nice clothes so I can shadow a Veterinarian every other weekend. I need this experience for Vet School no doubt.
  • SRtL – $160 – GRE Test for Vet School… delayed from April so I can save up monies. Must be done before August.
  • Before October – ~$1000 – YaoiCon monies for Megori/fun-spending… Still approximate until I know how much the tickets and hotel cost and how it’ll be split.

Funds in Bank: $300 as of April 1st, 2010.

*Sooner rather than later.

I know I’ll be adding more as I remember. I feel better now after seeing it written down.

Well, off to poke at nerves and stuff,

Kris

Roller-coaster Ride

I’m glad a lot of crap is over with, finally. I’m shit poor, but less stressed. I guess that’s an a-okay trade.

Most of my tests are over for now. I had three tests in a row and I’m finishing up my Anatomy one today. I should be okay with it, but I’m sure they’ll surprise me with something. School-wise, I have to finish some short stories for Fiction Writing and a presentation for Animal Diversity. I can’t wait to have them over with. A plus is that my Micro class is lecturing on fungi, which I know back and forward already (plenty of time to sleep/study during class!).

My main source of stress for the past week or so was my cat, Jacques. First, he was suffering from some upper respiratory infection (probably from the new cat we brought home, Tammi, of whom I have to post some pics; she’s really cute). While, he seemed to have gotten over that, but he was still vomiting excessively. In the past five days, blood started showing up in his vomit and he stopped eating. That is a serious sign for a cat, and I was freaking out about renal failure (incurable), live disease (death in hours or days) or IBS (lifelong meds). $250 later, and I’m assured that’s it’s probably a blockage. We had his bloodwork looked at and his organs are doing just fine. I am so fucking relieved! The vet bill hurts like hell though, and they charged me for a physical even though it was just a bit of poking.  I liked the other vets I had gotten at this place a lot more. They didn’t jump me with any surprise charges. I won’t make an appointment with her anymore, no doubt.

Now I just need money again. I still need to make $500 for school. Not too sure where that will come from, but I’ll make it. Man, and I thought I was saved up for this semester. Plus, my car seems like it’s going down the crapper. It needs an oil change and then some.

After May 15th though, I am officially done with my bachelors (FINALLY)! No more tuition expenses until I decide to go into vet school (and officially go back into severe debt). I’ll at least have a year to save up some money. It will be so nice. I need to find a good job with my degree though, and get decent pay. This will be very hard with the economy these days. Ugh.

Anyways, time to get back to studying.
